of the Kansas National Guard
Located at the main entrance to Forbes Field, the Museum

preserving the heritage of the Kansas National Guard and honoring the memories

State Capitol
The Kansas State Capitol is located
on a 20-acre tract in downtown Topeka. The Capitol is open to visitors
Monday tthrough Friday, from 8 am - 5 pm, with free
tours conducted by the
State Historical Society 4 - 6 times during the day, including tours
to the top of the 541 ft Capitol Dome.

The Kansas History Center in Topeka offers a number
of changing exhibits in several galleries. Check their website for

on the latest displays. Closed on Mondays and state holidays, the Museum
is open 9 am - 5 pm Tuesday-Saturday
and

Yesterdays
museum is located in the lower level of Topeka Harley-Davidson.
Experience a bit of Harley-Davidson history
with a self-guided tour of the museum, beginning with a Harley from
1919. Admission is free and the displays can be viewed during regular
dealership hours.

Gage Park
This 160 acre park is the home to
the Topeka Zoological Park, mini-train, historic
carousel, and countless
recreational facilities, including tennis courts, a swimming pool,
volleyball courts and more.
Great
Overland Station
Designed
by renowned architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood, the beautiful Union
Pacific
passenger station was reported to be "one
of the finest passenger stations on the line" when it opened
January 27, 1927. With its 34-foot ceiling and ornate glazed terra
cotta ornamentation, the elegant building is perhaps the finest representation
of classic railroad architecture in Kansas. The
Great Overland Station is recognized as a community landmark.
